In order to encourage more posting here in the History and Preservation Thread I decided to start a "Photo of the Day" type thread for historical and vintage photos of the places we love.    So, if you have vintage photos, post cards, or whatever feel free to share.

The owner of this bank ran off with ALL the money just as the depression was sinking in, and about 10 days before xmas. This also included the entire accounts of the church charity funds in the hood.  He stayed on the lam for over  a year, and BEGGED and CRIED not to be returned to town when he was caught.

The Former Manse (Minister's residence) for Knox Presbyterian Church, Milton, ON. Sold to a private owner by the congregation in the 1920s. Currently it sits at the back of a parking lot and is being renovated into a professional building.

Date of this photo is 1905.
