Memorial Day long weekend found this Canadian bound for Perrysburg, OH. Our destination Fort Meigs where we, the 60th Royal American Regiment of Foot would particpate in reenacting the war of 1812.

In 1813 General Proctor laid siege to Fort Meigs, but despite heavy losses from the Americans the Fort never fell. It was fun to be the bad guys this time around.

Awesome! Love the last two, I've wanted to shoot a re-enactment for a long while. Ever hear of John Beardsworth? One of his specialties is re-enactments across the pond...

Oh man those are awesome thanks for sharing. I'm actually planning on going to Belgium in 2015 for the Waterloo Reenactment. Probably take some photos but I plan on being in Line in the battle with the 60th Royal American Regiment of foot (A Green Jacket regiment) I hope to meet some 95th Rifles Reenactors, and march with them.

I am! Not to the same extent. I try to make it out to 2-3 events per year. Mostly local stuff in Canada. Last time I went across into the US for an event we got a little unnerved at some of the questions by the border agent.
