I'm sure you all know this place.    On Memorial Day I met up with some of the guys from the Aylum Projects site for a private tour.   After bullshitting and taking some shots of strong moonshine with the owner we began our tour.   I'd really like some comments on the photographs!

Damn these are sick. That lonely chair shot is definetly one of the best i've seen in a long time, especially with the peeling paint on the wall right behind it. The DoF in 7 is fucking sick too. And that leukotome from Taunton is fucking amazing. Really neat seeing that at least something was saved from that Kirk.

Thanks!  That chair shot was my favorite from the set too.   As for the leukotome, I just don't know, I've looked for one of those forever and have always been wary as anyone could basically represent any old ice pick as one.   

not a bad set,little grainy and some could be framed up a little bit better but all in all you do have some decent shots..
 
im with you in the ice pick, it seems a bit hokey and I have a hard time thinking its legit.

these shots really make me miss the place,id love to get back there sometime..
what do the tours consist of buildings wise,each one on property?let you walk around on your own and take your time?

They have a little one floor "teaser tour" for $10.   There is the $30 Heritage Tour that is 4 floors of the Kirk. and the first floor of the Medical Building.     Finally there is a half day photography tour that his $150.    At any time you can wonder around the front of the buildings for exterior photography.

We did the heritage tour and there was more than enough time to snap photos in my opinion.   

Do they still do the tours @WSH ?
