The biggest problems with amusement parks are they cost way too much and I can't stand waiting in a two hour line for a two minute ride.

The solution?  Abandoned amusement parks.  And with that in mind, Team FU headed out for a fun filled day of drinking, going on rides, and oh yeah, drinking.


We were going to have a picnic, but we forgot to reserve the pavilion

So we moved on to the carousel

It was pretty lame what with the whole thing not being there.  So we decided to hit the coaster.  We headed to the info booth for directions

On the way we hit the boat ride on the pond.

The track was still visible in the water but it was now BYOB - bring your own boat - and we forgot ours.  So on we moved to the concert pavilion.  Turns out Black Label Society was scheduled to play, but not until later.

We started off to the coaster again but were surprised by some old friends we had not seen in a while.

Finally we came to the coaster and got ready for the ride.

It did not even occur to me until we were out there just how close we were to you.  The lines for the rides were table and the place is so overpriced, but if you want to take a trip out there sometime, I'd be glad to go back.  Plus there is some cool old railroad stuff across the creek.

Oh, and the whack-a-mole game there hits back so be ready for that.   :punk:

lol i was there recently as well..i see there is still some flooding leftover..

Holy crap! We were there in March and that place looks like a full blown jungle compared to how bare it was then.

This was my first abandoned amusement park - another category to check off the list.  lol  What's great about this place is parts are still used for other purposes so they maintain it pretty well, except for the coaster which I prefer overgrown anyway.  There is also a cool railroad museum thing right across the creek with some awesome old trains and such.  Well worth the drive out there! :punk:

I've yet to have an amusement park, i'd rather have a circus though
