When I was a kid, we would steal beer and liquor from our parents
and go to this magical place called " The Slaughter House ". It was
this random place at the end of a forgotten road. These days its over
run with 12 year olds and their paint ball guns. Erin and I arrive and
park the car behind the movie theatre. Im not even two steps out of
my truck when I hear those damn paint balls. Now don't get me
wrong. I like to paint ball, but when your dealing with little kids who
are just waiting for the chance to blast  passers by. Well you start to
hate that pop pop pop sound. Erin and I approach the building
quietly. I now start to debate if I just want a few externals or do I
want to deal with the 10 year olds blasting each other in there. I look
at Erin and say " You've been in there before right ? " to which she
nods yes. Then we both start snapping pics of the exterior

The Slaughter house used to be a leather tannery. You
can find it behind BJ's in Danvers of Endicott street. Its
got a really ominous look about it, and its set within a
whole area of abandoned things. For you Danvers
townies, our favorite homeless people ( The Master and
Frank the bum ) have taken up a tent city near it too.
I've been coming here for the better part of my life. Just
one of those cool hang out places you had when you
were a kid. Never found any sort of super cool relics in
there. Its more of a homage to when America wasn't all
cubicles and computers but when it was labor and sweat
    that got things done..
