The mission was to get New England UrbEx Alliance members to
come to the off limits graveyard at Danvers State Hospital and plant
tulips next to all the grave markers that still did'nt have names.
First off many thanks to Anna Schuleit for donating all the flowers we
planted last night. Its quite fitting that the tulips used for bloom made
their way to this location. Also many thanks to Paula, Karen and all
the help they got at MMHC for picking up the flowers on thursday.
Many thanks to John Archer for letting us keep the flowers in his yard.
Thanks to John G for making sure this dream came alive. But most of
all thank you to , Mark, Ethan, Nine, Ross, Kate, Sher and Tia for
lumping all those flowers up the hill and for helping us plant them.

Tonight was a night for UrbExers to give back, And oh did we ever

Thursday I get a call from DSIA, saying my little idea
of getting Anna to give us some flowers is underway.
He tells me mark is really gung ho for it and we
should start really setting this up. After 3 days of plans
backfiring. Karen ( fascinated ) offers to pick up 200
tulips from bloom with Paula from visceral axis and
bring them to John Archers house till it was time for
OTT. Somewhere midafternoon on friday yours truly
shows up at John A's house to load my truck with
tulips. Then off to the path in the woods, where I
draged the tulips to the base of the hill at the corner of
the graveyard. 9:30 pm, we meet at stop and shop.
Only to have Nine say. " how are we going to plant
these we don't have shovels ?". Well we decide to go
into Stop and shop to see if they carry garden tools

Nope, and I tell you I was really close to buying a soup spoon to
dig with. So we split up. Half our group goes to home depot for
tools and the other half heads for the hill to start placement of the
flowers. We didnt have enough for every head stone, but we did
have enough for the people who just had a numbered stone
without a name, For me I felt these were the people who really
should have the tulips planted next to them.

All in all the mission was a success. Thank you soooo much to
everyone who helped make this happen,

And don't think after the shovels were put away that the flashlights
did'nt come out. We are urban explorers you know =)
